Lunch Bunch: Open to all seniors! The group meets the second Friday of each month at 11:30 AM at El Rancho Grande Restaurant in York Springs. Enjoy good, Christian fellowship and devotions over lunch. Led by Sonya Freeburn.
Prayer Meeting: Everyone is invited to the Prayer Meetings every other Sunday evening at 7:00 PM at the church. People can pray alone or with the group in the sanctuary, prayer room, prayer garden, or wherever they feel most comfortable spending time with God. We are a community of Christians who believe in the power of prayer. For more information see Jane McCauslin.
Ministries
Food Ministry: The local churches team up with New Hope Ministries to serve our community with a mobile food pantry. New Hope brings a mobile trailer to YSGMC the third Wednesday of each month from 3:00 – 4:30 pm for those in need. Volunteers are needed from each church and are asked to arrive at 2:30 pm. See Pastor Trish for more information.
Ruth’s Harvest: Each month, local churches collect commercially pre-packaged individual sized items (8 oz. or less) to pack for Bermudian Springs Elementary School students over long weekends during the school year. Donations can be dropped off in the church hallway.
Monthly Missions: Each month, we select one organization to financially support through giving above and beyond our regular tithing. See monthly newsletter or bulletin for selected organizations.
Salvation Army: York Springs GMC is a service secretary for the Salvation Army serving York Springs, Gardners, and Aspers. Those in need may receive funds to assist during emergency situations.
York Springs Community Group: Community members meet at YSGMC and work to strengthen our community by hosting or assisting in local events such as the Christmas Tree Lighting, Lion’s Club Egg Hunt, etc. All are welcome to attend meetings. See Pastor Trish Guise for more details.
Prayer Chain: The YSGMC Prayer Chain circulates through the church members when times of prayer are quickly needed. If you would like to give a prayer request, please email info@yorkspringsgmc.org.
