We are commissioned to go and to share the gospel. We will then see the work of the Holy Spirit as people become disciples. We are to baptize and teach these disciples. We are called to be Jesus witnesses. Acts 1:8 is a powerful reminder of how important it is for us to be witnesses for Christ.

Ekklesia literally means a gathering or an assembly, a congregation.
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
I think many Christians live Spirit-deficient lives, a bit like someone who is sleep deprived, or oxygen deprived. As a result, our spiritual lives are weak, and we continue to try living the Christian life by our own power and wisdom, but it just doesn’t work.
