Church on Purpose: Witness

We are commissioned to go and to share the gospel. We will then see the work of the Holy Spirit as people become disciples. We are to baptize and teach these disciples. We are called to be Jesus witnesses. Acts 1:8 is a powerful reminder of how important it is for us to be witnesses for Christ.

The Call to Abide

Abiding in Christ means our thoughts, our ways are not the truth that guides us. It’s God’s way, God’s thoughts, God’s truth that guides us. When we hunger and thirst for the things of God, when we call on God consistently, when God’s values, ways, agenda, and plans are our desire, when we surrender, we will be abiding in Christ and we will live our call and our purpose.

Membership – The Importance of Church Membership

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

When we submit to the love of Jesus in our lives, we are compelled to live life like Him and to invite others to join us.
