The next time you find yourself facing a road block in life, allow God to guide you on a detour. Allow God to revive your relationship with him. Allow God to restore your soul. Allow God to comfort you and strengthen you so that you will have a passion to tell others of your Great and Loving God!
This is just the beginning of a New Year. It is always seen as a time to reflect on our past and make a fresh start on our future. What better time is there to Begin Living For God Every Day!
We have learned today that God is a very personal God and he wants an intimate relationship with us, but HOW do we pray?
As Christians today we need to refuse to allow ourselves to be drawn into compromising with the world’s life-style and instead like Ezra align our lives by obeying God’s commands. We need to also pray and ask God for His guidance. We need to then be willing to study, follow and take action to teach God’s word.
As we spend time with Jesus, as we get to know more about Him, as we focus on Him we can’t help but become more like Him – More self-aware, more confident, more self-controlled, more content.
All of us are like Ruth. Without a redeemer we will face death and the punishment for our sins. Jesus came to die in our place to pay for our debt of sin before God. He bought us back to be part of God’s family and saved from sin for all eternity.
Mary’s response to life’s unpreparedness and uncertainties is a testimony for all of us here today.
As God has forgiven you, you are to forgive those who have hurt you. As God has reconciled with you, you are to be reconciled with others. Who do I need to be reconciled with today?
Are we willing to wait on God to move in His way and in His time?
Are you trying to find fulfillment through your career, through your accomplishments, through an accumulation of things? Because if you are, you are going to find that in the end your life will be “Meaningless! Meaningless! Utterly meaningless.
